Anywho, yeah, likely a problem with Lizardman’s code causes the voting page to glitch out when there isn’t a game scheduled, or it doesn’t know what to do with the winning vote. And unfortunately, the two of them are in the process of moving to a new home, so we probably won’t see who won until a few days.

Are you ready for the most epic battle of the century? No? Well, how about the battle of the month?
The indomitable fans over at TFx Media have announced The Battle of the TF Artist Fans, a progressive single-elimination tournament which pits your favorite artists against one another in a glorified popularity contest.
No, seriously. That’s what it is. As Lizardman said himself, it’s not a matter of comparing their art, it’s a matter of who can get the most of their fans to vote for them.
But it should still be fun! The battle begins June 1st with Mamabliss vs Aakashi. I know who I’m voting for!

Well, TFx is, by design, a sexually-explicit TF website that features premium paid art and stories for the people that go into that kind of thing, and they are allowed to do what they want on it. The same is true with artist. If they want to sell their work as sexually-explicit, or charge $25 for a commission, that’s their right. If they don’t find any takers, it’s their own fault.
Banana said what he said in jest, but you clearly have an agenda against TFx and FurAffinity. It’s not fair to assume it was Lizardman who thumbs-downed you.
I respect you for bringing your site back from the dead and surviving even after the birth of youtube, so please respect other webmasters to run their sites as they see fit. Let’s keep things civil, people.

This totally anonymous user is not against Dragoniade’s opinions (in fact, he understands, respects, and sometimes agrees with them). He IS against Dragoniade’s personality, as he seems like the kind of guy who thinks he knows what’s best for everyone.

I do find it kind of strange that all these online artist contests always boil down to who is the most popular in the end. I mean, I have run a couple of art contest and it was about whoever drew the best artwork. But then it was an issue with picking the best picture.
If it’s a single judge, then it’s favoritism and the crowd yells fix and the most popular should have won.
If you make it a public poll, it becomes a popularity contest and the crowd yells fix and the most popular shouldn’t have won.
All these contest are a wash anyway. Because let’s face it, in the end, we are all losers.

Look, Like it or not, this was just an amusing idea to pass the time. There was no hidden agenda, no evul plans. This is just for FUN! This is just a thing that fans can squabble over, nothing more. I don’t appreciate the fact that because I am associated with Liz, that Dragonaide has to attack the site like this, I never did anything to him. Liz may have offended you somehow, but his personal views do NOT effect my website. If you have a personal vendetta, please stop attacking BOTH of us and keep it to Lizardman’s sites alone.
Without Lizardman, I wouldn’t be where I am today. He has helped me expand my talents and share them with the world. He is my life mate, and partner on this site. He keeps it running smoothly and handles the customer service aspect. He does a lot more for me than he realizes. and I am very happy to have him with me on my website.
Furthermore, my site is just a site to down load art, SOME of it is adult rated because it may ‘show nudity’, FEW have an adult rating because there may be a sexual aspect behind it. MOST of what is on there is NOT sexual. It is just transofrmations. The ratings are there to warn the viewer and protect us.
IF you don’t like it, don’t go there. I like drawing, I do it for free, and i do it to survive. I like working on my ability and stretching my talents. I appreciate the people who do go to my site. Not everything is pay to view. I draw a lot, I just haven’t been uploading because I am personally tired over this childish whining about what I draw. SO WHAT? I have a site that people PAY to VIEW, so do many other artists, GET OVER IT!

XD Everyone needs to calm down. The contest is just for fun. Doesn’t mean you have to vote or even participate in any of it. And so what if you didn’t get picked to be in it. I wasn’t and it doesn’t worry me. And Lizardman didn’t pcik the artist. It was the fans that talked to him who chose them. So don’t get angry that we didn’t get picked.
All in all. It’s just a fun contest that Lizardman created just to be FUN that’s all. No prizes, no comments on why this guy is better then the other, nothing to worry at all. It’s just all FUN

Metamorpher’s comment is made up of pure win. I remember another time everyone got worked up because of a popularity poll, and even I (kind of) got mixed up in it. In retrospect, it shouldn’t have been a big deal, but it kind of was. But hey, what would you do if a company that makes crappy facebook games was in the semi-finals of a contest of video game developers?

The TFX thing is a result of other backstory stuff — as most of you can guess, it has very little to do with a popularity contest. However, I don’t have the full story from both sides and am holding off judgement until I do.
I will point out that it sucks that not all of us can make a living doing what we love without having it turn into, ugh, work.

Out of curiosity I thought I would count how many of the artists drew porn and/or highly suggestive material (via the links provided).
Out of 36 artists, only 12* of them did.
That’s 33%, far less than the majority, so without seeing who people vote for, this doesn’t seem likely to be a “battle of the transporn” at all. Hopefully, anyway.
*Approximately, some people might be more lenient, others harsher.

Chippo: Remember, it’s the battle of the fans, not of the better quality or best output artist. More PJ fans voted than Kuma fans, so PJ won. Artists who want to see their names continue should do what Curious Case and Miranda Leigh did: both advertised their vote on the day it occurred, and both many more votes than most days had total.
