In this new series, we scrape the dregs of the TF barrel to bring you the most awesomely bad TF fiction ever.
Furaffinity Update Hits the Fans
If you noticed today, FurAffinity was in read-only mode for a good 3-4 hours while the servers were updated. Well, now that mostly everything is up and running, the new layout is ready for your viewing pleasure. If things don’t seem to be showing up correctly, hit ctrl+F5 to force a hard refresh of the site’s cache.
First impressions:
- The layout is much more narrow-browser friendly for things like mobile phones and console browsers, or if you just want to keep the window narrow while you do other stuff.
- All control buttons are available under the header rather than to the far left, which makes them easier to find and navigate.
- Ads are stretched along the top of the page, rather than scrunched along the left column.
A lot of fans really hate the new layout either on principle of hating anything new, or with some legitimate reason, but Dragoneer says things are only going to get stranger, teasing an eventual layout much more like Deviantart and closer in purpose to a social networking site, which I suppose FA/DA technically are.
Sonic the HedgeHOG
We’ve secretly replaced Sonic’s power rings with onion rings. Let’s see if he notices.
In this recent hack of Sonic 2, the power rings are now greasy onion rings, which must be avoided to prevent Sonic from becoming a fat immobile tub of flesh (who quickly dies of what I assume is a heart attack)
I… I think can already hear the WG TF fans sketching this out into fan art as we speak. Be afraid, people. Be very afraid.

lessthanhuman’s Journal: Contest ONE
Over on Deviantart, user LessThanHuman, known for his spectacular TF photoshops, is holding a contest about Sorsha from the pig TF scene in Willow. Most any kind of art is accepted, from pixel art to photomanipulation, to even sculpture. If the contest is successful, LTH is considering other contests as well.
Furaffinity to Add “Deceased” Status to Dead Users
From Fender’s jounal:
Fur Affinity will soon be introducing a special “Deceased” status in our next update to honor those in the community who have passed on since the site’s inception.
After five and a half years, we’ve all lost loved ones and those we’ve care about. To honor their memories, we’d like to setup a small memorial on our Wiki to celebrate the life of those FA users who have moved on to better places.
O_o Seriously?
Okay, I can understand the logic behind it, but it seems really morbid to me. Call me crazy, but I don’t like to think about reality when I’m living out an online fantasy on a website like FA. I know it’s important to remember the departed, but making such information available to anybody who visits their page just seems… wrong. What are your thoughts?
The winner of the Battle of the TF Artist Fans is…
Congratulations to her, and all fans who voted for her. As shallow as the contest wins, I’m sure this probably means a lot to her. Head on over and check out her gallery; she has some really nice stuff.
